Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students had the unique opportunity to attend the official book launch of “Create the Life of Your Dreams in Your Teens – a Motivational Guide to Unlock Potential and Achieve Success " written by Gamilaroi author and educator, Kylie Captain and her son, Tyrell Johnson.
In the very special setting of the Sydney Opera House, this was an inspiring excursion filled with stories of personal resilience and striving for success. The event was presented by Luke Carroll, with a wonderful line-up of influential speakers including Professor Bob Morgan, Nathan Towney as well as a range of student voices. There were also some inspiring musical and dance performances.
A very big thank you to Kylie for inviting representatives from our school to attend and also for very generously giving all participating students a complimentary copy of her new book. A copy will also be placed in our school library.

It was a thought-provoking day which encouraged our students to strive to be the best version of themselves as work towards achieving their potential. They were encouraged to not to let a fear of judgement hold them back and to aspire to dream big. Our students are also commended on their excellent behaviour and for representing the school with pride.
