Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are either NESA developed courses, which may contribute to the calculation of an ATAR, or NESA endorsed courses.
VET courses give students work-related skills in a variety of industry areas. Students will receive a nationally recognised qualification when they complete their course.
Some of the NESA developed Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses available at Strathfield for Years 11 and 12:
- Business Services
- Entertainment
- Hospitality Kitchen Operations
- Hospitality Food and Beverage
- Retail Services
NESA endorsed courses:
- Sports Coaching
Some of our students also elect to study EVET (Externally delivered Vocational Education and Training Courses) in Years 11 and 12.
The Careers Adviser facilitates their enrolment at a TAFE offering the course of their choice and students attend TAFE one afternoon each week.
