Principal Communication Term 3 Week 2

26 Jul 2021

Letter head

On Friday, 23 July, NESA announced a number of changes to the HSC timetables. Major work in practical subjects and the start of the HSC examinations have been extended.

The school is currently planning for our students to complete their Trial HSC in a COVID-safe environment. At this stage, due to the evolving COVID crisis and with the advice of the Department of Education and NSW Health advice, our Trial HSC is likely to be postponed to begin in mid- Week 6 and will be extended over a longer period to avoid too many students at school at any one time. Please be reassured that we have held COVID-safe HSC examinations very successfully in 2020. Further advice will follow at the end of this week. It is of utmost importance that our students gain the experience of the Trial HSC to enable them to perform better in their Final HSC examinations. The Trial HSC will also provide good feedback to them on what their next steps will be as they identify strengths and gaps in their learning in each course. We urge our HSC students to keep studying and working towards their HSC goals.

Please stay safe and positive during these challenging times. We are here to assist you with any concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact someone at the school if you require any assistance or have any matters to discuss. Please call the office on 9746 6990 and provide your daughter’s name and someone will call you back to check in with you.

This week’s Newsletter offers a range of local services for families needing support in these difficult times.
