PREMIER’S READING CHALLENGE

Strathfield Girls High School actively encourages all students to participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge to foster a love of reading for leisure and pleasure and to enable them to experience quality literature - to read, to read more and to read more widely.

The Challenge opens March 4 and students will be able to register and log books on their student reading record.

The Challenge closes August 30.

Students who complete the Challenge will receive a certificate and every year you participate is added to your record. Fourth year students receive a GOLD certificate, seventh year receive a Platinum certificate and year 9 students are eligible to receive a Medal.

LIBRARY LEADERS

The 2019 Library assistants have been selected and are enjoying working as a team and independently and are positive role models for Year 7 and 8 students. Library assistants will assist any student with difficulties in borrowing, locating books/resources, using the library printer and OPEC. They will also mentor students on library rules and encourage students to use the library wisely and to respect their fellow users. The library assistants are also mentored by  Cherr Weng and Jade Morris of year 11 who were last year’s assistants.
